SPARC Launch June 9th – Bringing East Coast Rocketry to Spokane

May 29, 2012

This year our launch site is much closer to Wild Rose than normal. We are 1500 ft. from the road so we can launch high power rockets, but our maximum altitude is 3,000 ft. since we are so close to the road.
Therefore, our field is similar to the small fields that are used back east where they launch big, slow high power rockets to keep them on-site. We are limiting dual deployment flights to 3,000 ft. and single deployment (including models) to 2,000 ft. If the wind is from the south the launch directors reserve the right to further limit the altitude – a great chance to burn some of these smaller motors. So come out for a great day of flying rockets that can be seen all the way to apogee! Marty Weiser and Alan Roberts, co-launch directors
