SPARC is a GO for launch tomorrow (3/11)

March 10, 2006

SPARC is a GO for launch tomorrow (3/11).

I checked the field again today and it has about 2" of snow left. The ground is firm and since the snow only had 0.18" of moisture in it to begin with, I hope it won't impede vehicle traffic as the snow melts off.

However, pay attention as you drive out and stop if you feel
uncomfortable, or are rutting up the road.

Based on phone calls over the past couple hours, interest is high with a TARC qualification flight and a couple attempts at those K700's on the schedule.

Still some maintenance to do on model and mid power pads so we'll stay busy even if the racks aren't.

No porta potty for this launch so be prepared. There is a SHELL station (used to be EXXON) about 2 miles away.

Set-up begins around 0900 with launching ready in the 10'ish timeframe.

Batteries are charged, the trailer is ready.

If you have some fire wood, bring it along, its going to be a cool day, a nice fire may push some of the cold away.

Come on out and help us kick off the 2006 season!!
